This week, the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) announced a partnership with Integrity Compliance 360 (IC360) to enhance fair play monitoring on its PPA Tour.
Headquartered in Las Vegas, the PPA aims to expand its presence in more legal sports betting states across the US. To oversee the legal betting activities surrounding its competitions, the PPA has enlisted IC360, a leading sports betting integrity firm known for providing compliance solutions for sportsbooks and leagues.
Recognized as the fastest-growing sport in the US in 2021, 2022, and 2023 by the Sports and Fitness Industry Association, pickleball boasts an estimated 36.5 million players nationwide.
The Popularity of Pickleball
Originating in Washington State in the mid-1960s, pickleball has evolved into the state’s official sport. Combining elements of tennis and table tennis, pickleball has unique rules and court dimensions, and uses a hard plastic ball that produces less bounce than a tennis ball.
This increased interest has also extended to sports betting, with bettors seeking lines for PPA tournaments.
To address integrity concerns and the potential for match-fixing, the PPA has partnered with IC360, which will deploy ProhiBet, an advanced, fully encrypted, decentralized cross-monitoring notification platform.

Next month, the first Las Vegas Pickleball Cup, a PPA-sanctioned tournament, will take place at the Fontainebleau on the Strip. Bettors in legal sports betting states, including Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Oregon, Tennessee, Washington, and Wyoming, will be able to place odds on the tournament.
