UFC CEO Dana White has announced the full lineup for UFC 306, set for September 14, marking the first live sporting event at the Las Vegas Sphere.
Bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley will defend his title against No. 1 contender Merab Dvalishvili in the main event, as confirmed by Sphere Entertainment and the UFC. This will be O’Malley’s second title defense following victories over Aljamain Sterling and Marlon “Chito” Vera.
The co-main event will feature flyweight champion Alexa Grasso facing former titleholder Valentina Shevchenko. Grasso claimed the title with a fourth-round submission of Shevchenko last year.
Additionally, the pay-per-view event will highlight a rescheduled bout between two-time featherweight title challenger Brian Ortega and top contender Diego Lopes.
UFC 306 will also celebrate Mexican Independence Day, part of the promotion “Riyadh Season Noche UFC” due to a sponsorship deal.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, July 31 via Ticketmaster.com.
