Marina Bay Sands (MBS) has entered a multiyear partnership with Scuderia Ferrari ahead of this year’s Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, scheduled for September. The collaboration includes exclusive events, immersive promotions, and themed experiences designed to thrill fans during race week.
Operated by Las Vegas Sands, Marina Bay Sands stands as a global benchmark for integrated resorts. While its parent company no longer holds casino properties in Nevada—and won’t directly benefit from this November’s inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix—the Ferrari partnership marks a strategic entry into the world of Formula 1.
While NASCAR continues to dominate U.S. motorsports, F1 remains a global powerhouse. In 2022, attendance soared to 5.7 million—a 36% jump from 2019—and new broadcast deals with ESPN and Fox Sports have further expanded its reach.
Ferrari Red Takes Over Marina Bay Sands
As one of Singapore’s two integrated resorts—alongside Resorts World Sentosa—MBS plans to go all in on Ferrari festivities this September. Highlights include exclusive appearances by Ferrari’s current drivers, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz Jr., and a replica of the iconic SF90 race car on display.
“Partnering with the most successful team in F1 history is a proud moment,” said Paul Town, Chief Operating Officer at Marina Bay Sands.
Paul Gandolfi, Head of Partnerships at Scuderia Ferrari, called the alliance a natural fit, saying both brands share “a commitment to luxury, ambition, and excellence.”
Singapore’s Demanding Night Circuit
The 2023 F1 season features 23 races, but only four are held at night—including Singapore and Las Vegas. The Singapore Grand Prix, taking place from September 11–18, is widely considered one of the most physically grueling circuits. The street course spans just over three miles, with drivers completing 63 laps for a total of 192 miles.
Red Bull’s Sergio Perez is the defending champion. However, the most successful driver at Marina Bay remains Sebastian Vettel, who won five times during his career with both Ferrari and Red Bull-Renault.
