UFC fans were buzzing last week after CEO Dana White unveiled a stacked UFC 322 lineup featuring Islam Makhachev vs. Jack Della Maddalena—two of the promotion’s pound-for-pound elites.

Scheduled for Nov. 15 in New York, UFC 322 will also feature a co-main event between Valentina Shevchenko and Weili Zhang, with the strawweight champion moving up to flyweight in a blockbuster clash. Additionally, Leon Edwards will face Carlos Prates in a welterweight showdown.
Makhachev, the former lightweight champ, aims to secure a second belt, while Maddalena enters fresh off his UFC 315 title victory over Belal Muhammad.
Aspinall’s Heavyweight Title Fight Grabs Bettor Interest
Despite the star power at UFC 322, BetVictor trader Mark Collier says the more lucrative betting action is expected a few weeks earlier, when heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall defends against top-ranked Ciryl Gane at UFC 321 in Abu Dhabi on Oct. 25.
Aspinall, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt from Manchester, captured gold at UFC 295 with a first-round knockout of Sergei Pavlovich. His long-awaited return, Collier noted, will generate strong handle due to both star power and favorable UK viewing hours.
Collier on the Matchups
“UFC 322 is a good card, but when you compare it directly to UFC 321, we anticipate larger numbers in October,” Collier said. “Tom Aspinall’s return is the headline event UK fans have been waiting for.”
Still, Collier highlighted that Makhachev vs. Maddalena is a worthy matchup, Shevchenko vs. Zhang is a coin flip, and Leon Edwards’ presence will attract interest among UK bettors.
Crossover With Boxing Could Boost UFC 322
Collier added that UFC 322 may benefit from timing. The event coincides with the Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Conor Benn boxing rematch in the UK. “Depending on the boxing result, betting turnover could spike going into UFC 322,” he explained.
